Weekly muscle check-in
Once a week Recompose asks for your weight, an arm and thigh measurement, and three everyday-strength questions such as whether carrying shopping feels easier, the same, or harder. It plots those together as a muscle signal, so you can see whether the weight coming off is taking your strength with it: something the scale on its own cannot tell you.
Why the scale is not enough
A falling weight is not information about what kind of weight left. Two people can lose the same seven kilograms with completely different amounts of it coming from lean tissue. Tape measurements at the arm and thigh, tracked alongside how strong you feel doing ordinary things, give you a much better picture than a single number.
The three questions
They are deliberately mundane, because mundane things are the ones you will notice a change in: carrying shopping, getting up from a low chair, climbing stairs. Easier, the same, or harder. That is it.
What happens if the trend dips
If your strength signals decline two weeks running, Recompose shows a supportive card with the things that most often help (protein, resistance work, sleep) and suggests raising it with your pharmacist or GP if it continues. It does not tell you what is causing it, because it cannot know.
The verdict card
Every week you get a short written summary framed around what you kept, not just what you lost. It is the same information a graph would give you, in a sentence, because most people read the sentence.
